The Philadelphia Eagles run all over the Buffalo Bills to keep the season alive. The Birds win the football game by a score of 31-13 to improve to a 4-4 record. Jordan Howard was a monster, recording 96 yards on 23 carries, and Miles Sanders ran for a 65 yard touchdown. Carson Wentz made big time plays, no bigger than a fourth quarter drive that took over eight minutes off the clock and resulted in a touchdown that took the Bills out of the game. The defense forced Josh Allen to lose the football three times, but the Eagles only recovered it once. That one time was a difference maker in the game as Dallas Goedert recorded a touchdown right before half to take the lead. The weather was not the best, which forced Doug Pederson to run a ton, but this result could potentially change the season.
The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Detroit Pistons without Joel Embiid. It definitely wasn't a pretty win, but down the stretch, the Sixers made big time plays. Tobias Harris dropped 16 points in the third quarter and finished with 29 total. Ben Simmons and Al Horford played a two-man game in the fourth that was unreal. Mike Scott hit five three-pointers off the bench. Kyle O'Quinn supplied energy and Shake Milton made a couple shots. The first half was atrocious, but when it mattered, the team created chances and knocked them down.
