The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Washington Redskins to improve to 7-7. It was close and Carson Wentz needed to deliver a clutch drive to win the game. He did. With under five minutes to go in the game, down three, he took the squad on a drive downfield to win the game. Greg Ward was huge during that stretch and so was Dallas Goedert, who made an absurd one-handed catch. Miles Sanders was so impressive and he has become a legit threat! He ran for 122 yards and caught a few receptions for 50 yards. The Eagles defense struggled and made Dwayne Haskins look like Peyton Manning at times.... Jim Schwartz confuses me.
The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Brooklyn Nets and it was a stinker. To me, it was just "one of those games." I hate to think that way, but it's reality. Every team goes through something like this in an 82 game schedule. Joel Embiid did not play and Al Horford struggled in his place. Remember, Horford is coming off of missing some time. Josh Richardson was not effective either. Ben Simmons dropped 20 points and Tobias scored 17. Shots were not falling as they only hit five three-pointers in the game. The Nets continued to attack the paint as they scored 64 of their 109 points in the paint. I am not too worried about this loss, it's time to move on to the Miami on Wednesday.
