Alou Kuol would hardly have been able to predict just how meteoric his rise to the top of the A League's golden boot table has been.

The Goulburn Valley Suns product is lighting up the pitch for Central Coast Mariners, not only putting his own name in bright bulbs but paving the way for those who follow.

One such regional talent treading the same path is Kuol's younger brother Garang, who has signed with the Mariners' Talent Academy.
