Episode 10: Series 5 End of Season

A fantastic season comes to a close with records galore broken and a Championship won to send CFC back to the EFL and leave behind the National League after 6 long years. The usual team go back and highlight many memories from the last season and look ahead to the promise of league football and try to predict the success hopoefully coming our way.

Episode 9: Series 5 Episode 5

After a brief (ish) behind the scenes interlude, the podcasters return for their take on what is now almost certainly going to be a memorable and potentially record breaking season. Not many clouds on the horizon at the minute but this is CFC we are talking about. so nothing is yet certain or taken for granted. Come on you Blues!!

Episode 7: Series 5 Episode 4

The Cookball bandwagon rolls on with only few and temporary blips on the way back to the promised land of EFL Division 2. Our usual podcasters are back with analysis, comment and enthusiasm to dissect the games played since the last pod in November last year.

The usual foursome make a welcome return with the Club top of the league, still in the FA Cup and unbeaten for so long who can still remember that feeling of defeat coming away from Altrincham! Still plenty to review and forecast ahead to what we all hope is a season for the record books.

Episode 6: Series 5 Episode 2

The first podcast of the new season, 8 games in and a galore of goals to report on. Fortunately the number scored is far more than conceded so a points tally of well over 2 per game puts us level at the top of the League. Now for getting back to top spot and staying there!

Another new season dawns and the big question is asked - will this be our last in the National League? We are everyone's favourite to win the title but football isn't like that. If it was we would simply let the bookies and pundits decide the outcome before a ball is kicked. Twists and turns are on the way, but in Cookie we trust (still) and we are strapping in for the ride to the EFL. Long overdue but Wrexham waited far longer and needed Hollywood to get them over the line.  The us...

Episode 4: End of Season Special

You thought it was all over after Wembley - it is now! The usual podcasters decide that an open air, all together discussion would be a great way to end and review a great season of football at CFC. If only Wembley had been decided in normal time, or even extra, but the heartache of penalties now needs to fade into the distance as the close season starts with plans being made for a new season.

That's right - WEMBLEY 2023 - it's time for the Blues to take that one final step this season and end the recent years of frustration and get back into the EFL. Notts County will have a different view of course but they are now all that stands in our way to a new horizon. COTB

The usual gang returns for an update on a great season so far. The top two may be beyond reach, but the battle for 3rd spot continues and the end is now in sight. Come on you Blues!!

The latest delivery from the usual team pondering over another set of below average performances in an otherwise great season. A points tally any other year would see the Spireites probably top the league table but the frontrunners Wrexham and Notts County seem to be unstoppable.

Episode 4: Series 4 Episode 4 2022 Review

It's New Year's Eve already and time to look back at the progress made by CFC in 2022 which ends in pretty much the same fashion as it started. FA Cup 4th round tie to look forward to and completing at the top end of a very tough division. Different Manager and different gravy as the saying goes!

What a great start to the season playing cookball, and as at the time of publishing this episode there is a slight cloud on the horizon as Kabby may be Brum bound but we will wait and see. Notwithstanding this possible "blip" things are much rosier for the Spireites and the future looks bright.
