Growing up Surf Life Saving and playing Rugby League, Dan converted to canoeing and attended four consecutive Olympic games over a decade-long career. With his knowledge and expertise highly sought after, Dan joined the advisory board for numerous sport affiliations including AFL, Japan Rugby and the Australian Institute of Sport.
Dan takes us through the change in culture within grassroots sport today and how this shift has created a new social norm’ which is affecting the development and growth of potential and aspiring athletes as well as the continuity of adolescent participation.
