This week on the Spin on Sport podcast, we’re joined by Australian international, NSW representative and St George Illawarra Dragons NRLW player Kezie Apps. From World Cups to Dally M Medals, Apps chats with Damo about the development of women’s rugby league, her sacrifices to reach an elite level and how she escapes through photography.
From humble beginnings in Bega, Kezie grew up playing rugby league with former Rabbitoh and older brother, Dean. Her love for the game never faltered, driving over 4 hours, three times a week just to train. A true testament to the positive outcomes of perseverance and dedication, Apps has been awarded everything from the Dally M, to Illawarra Women’s Player of the Year, NSWRL Women’s Player of the Year and even a World Cup win with the 2017 Jillaroo’s.
