For the first time in the Central Intelligence Agency’s history, a covert operator of major rank and standing pens a fully operational memoir. Ric Prado’s BLACK OPS: The Life of a CIA Shadow Warrior(St. Martin’s Press) lays out this decorated hero's twenty-four career fighting in the shadows to protect a nation and home that welcomed him at his most desperate hour as a child of communist repression.

In BLACK OPS, Prado shares the harrowing true stories of life in the deadly web of international assassins, spies, revolutionaries, terrorists, and killers. He reveals how he and his fellow CIA officers devoted their lives to operating in the shadows to fight a little-seen or known war to keep the U.S. safe from those intent on destroying the nation.
