This is a very different and exciting podcast episode on so many levels! Welcome returning guest, Patrice Tiedeman, the artistic director of the Seaglass Theater Companywho was our guest on Podcast Episode: 78 and, composer Jodi Goble to In-Focus Podcast Number 95.

This podcast focuses on the Seaglass Theater Company's world premiere of Whaling Women at the First Unitarian Church in New Bedford, Massachusetts. It is a lyrical score that marries composer Jodi Goble’s original music with historically accurate sea chanteys, tunes, and lullabies of the 19th century.

Whaling Women tells of love and loss - whether at sea chasing whales and braving the dangers of shipwreck, or on land-managing households and fighting for social justice in their communities.
