Ep. 154- King Ings Declares Victory at Villa, with Tom Mason

First off, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. It’s the happiest time of the year or something. The truth is, it’s happier because Saints went to Villa Park and put three past a pretty terrible Villa. Jack Grealish scored a worldie that shouldn’t count because his socks are a disgrace.

Danny Ings scored a goal either side of Jack Stephens heading home a JWP corner and the game was never really in doubt, though the last 15 minutes or so saw Villa get as into the game as they ever did. 

Saints left Birmingham well-deserved winners and leaped Villa in the standings, putting Saints out of the relegation zone ahead of the festive fixtures to come later this week. It was by far the best performance of the season. It had everything except a clean sheet for Saints fans to enjoy. Tougher tests lay ahead, but Saints can enjoy their Christmas outside the drop zone.
