Welcome to the Sounds Like a Search and Rescue Podcast! Also known as SLASR. Join an experienced search and rescue volunteer and his friend as they discuss all things related to hiking and search and rescue in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
This week we are joined by Alan Arnette, Climbing Coach, Keynote Speaker, Mountaineer and Alzheimer's Advocate, podcast host, he has a great youtube channel, a blog and can be found as a frequent guest on various shows related to climbing. He has climbed all over the world - completing the 7 summits, frequent trips to the himalayan region, high peaks in Europe, South America, North America, Antarctica, Africa, he has completed the Colorado 14ers list Alan summited Mount Everest in 2011 and is the oldest American to summit K2 at 58 on his birthday July 2014. Alan covers a variety of interesting topics with us.
