There are times in some of our lives when we decide to make a course correction in the way that we are headed, the path that our life is taking. This can cause a “gut wrenching” feeling of being lost and can be very painful.

C.S. Lewis references this feeling in a chapter of his book “Day of the Dawn Treader” when one of the main characters realized that he had become someone that he did not want to be and decided to make a change.

The person going through it can often feel a sense of “unmooring,” like a boat without the connection to a dock but, in time, new connections form.

This podcast describes the feeling and JD's own personal experience.
