An artist of Swedish & Gambian descent, Rugiyatou opens up about moving to a new country, adjusting mentally and emotionally, and deciding to fully pursue her passion for a career in art. We especially get into how she is using her art as a way to have conversations about race, feminism, and coming from mixed cultures. This conversation is hugely inspiring in the way Rugi describes her process of bringing her own personal questions of identity into her art.
