Previous Episode: SCFB 476: Barry White
Next Episode: SCFB 478: LUTHER!

Welcome to another edition of SCFB I am your Host Tom Gouker and tonight we are premiering the first episode of six called the R&B Teddy Bears. The Teddy Bears are amazing and talented soul singers who connect emotional to woman, but the guys like them  also.  I interviewed musicians for the last year to get there opinions about these guys,  it is funny how I can hear there passion for these artists, but time has passed and hear the musicians struggles for names dates, and times...including me.  But one thing they  can remember is that these artists are special and one of a kind.

The R&B Teddy Bears are Gerald Levert, Marvin Gaye, Isaac Hayes, Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass, and Luther Vandross.

During our conversations other names popped up, Will  Downing, Peabo Bryson, and Kevin Mahogany, Gregory Porter, Solomon Burke, and Nat King Cole were mentioned, but we all agree that the six teddy bears of R&B are royalty.

Tonight our musicians are talking about Barry White.

Listen to the following artists chat about Barry White.  Blues Singer Kelly Bell from the Kelly Bell Band, Jazz Vocalist Ed Turner, Genre Busting Singer Songwriter Darnell Miller, Blues Singer and Musician Vanessa Collier, Jazz Pianist Layfette Gilchrist and the  Funk-master Duke Benjamin.
