In this episode, I speak with Beatle expert, Brooke Halpin again. This time we meet up to chat about Paul McCartney’s solo recordings. We go “head to head” and countdown our Top 10 Songs of All Time from Paul McCartney. We only agree on one song which is pretty amazing, since Sir Paul has recorded thousands of songs in his career.
I love having Brooke Halpin as a guest on the show. He is so kind and such a wonderful guest. I actually think that I am a Beatle pro and all-knowing and Brooke always blows me away, so I only have one choice and that is to listen and learn from the Master.
This interview was rough for me, Baltimore was going through a cold spell in early January, two weeks of 10 degree or less and I was in the middle of my winter cold, plus I was interrupted by KJ the Country Cat, my neighbor, and food delivery. I thought that the sound quality was poor, but once I started to edit it, I realized that it was listenable and enjoyable. And, it is about Paul McCartney one of the best artists of all time, so it has to be good, right?
Okay – “spoiler-alert” my favorite song is “Arrow Through Me” from “Back to the Egg”, Brooke hates it but I ran out of time, he went on for about 5 minutes why he dislikes this song, it was pretty funny.
