Supergroups come in many shapes and sizes and such as Bluegrass trio “Hass Kowert and Tice” who released their debut album “You Got This” in 2014.
That is Britney Haas on violin. Paul Kowert on bass, Jordan Tice on guitar. They musicianship can heard with groups like the “Punch Brothers”, “David Rawlings Band”, “Crooked Still”, and the iconic NPR juggernaut “A Prairie Home Companion”
This May they released a new album called “Unless” and they added Dominick Leslie on mandolin and instead of just adding Leslie’s name onto the bill they created a new name for the new sounds, Hawktail
“Unless” is a wonderful album that is melodic and barn burner, and music style of Bluegrass, Classical, and Celtic are woven into each song like a tapestry.
I will be chatting with Jordan Tice night and we will be focused on some of the great tracks on the album.
