Welcome to another episode of Something came from Baltimore, I am your host Tom Gouker and on the phone is one of favorite guitarist of all time, Al De Meola.  The interview was during the Covic- 19 pandemic and Al just released a wondering collection of Beatles songs called, “ Across the Universe” which is a perfect companion during this stressful time period that we are facing.  This is the second set of Beatles songs, he released first collection in 2013 called, “In My life – a Beatles Tribute recorded in Abbey Road”.  AL was bummed out that he had to cancel his year of touring and he is just riding out at home.

Just to let you know that I am a big fan of Al De Meola and I was excited to finally speak with him and this album is amazing.  Everyone knows Al right?  Amazing world music guitarist, there is nothing he can not do.

They rescheduled the interview three times and then there was notice that it would never happen, and then I was told that I would only have 20 minutes which was not enough time in my mind.  We ended up chatting for 50 minutes and I would love to release the whole interview.  Drop me a line, and let me know if you what to hear the whole thing.
