In the sermon this past Sunday, we looked at the biblical description of the Christian community and what it means to be the church. We learned that the nearness of our relationships with one another should reflect the intimate relationship between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We also learned that when individual believers fully engage in serving the local church through their individual spiritual gifts, the church is built up and grows toward spiritual maturity.
