Today on Sojourner Truth, an update on attacks on migrants at the US/Mexico border. On Sunday, November 25th, US officials fired tear gas at migrants, including women and children attempting to breech the US/Mexico border. Gas canisters and pepper balls were also used, leaving children gasping for breath and traumatized. Trump strongly defended the use of the gas, indeed he lied saying several border patrol agents were badly injured by the migrants. Tear gas is considered a chemical weapon under international law. Our guests are David Abud with Pueblos Sin Fronteras. He is currently at the US/Mexico border and Pedro Rios, director of the US-Mexico Border Program at the American Friends Service Committee.

And an uprising in Haiti as protesters continue to hit the streets calling for the ouster of US selected and backed President Jovenel Moise as well as calling for accountability for the disappearance of over $3 billion dollars in PetroCaribe. PetroCaribe is money from Venezuela to assist the Haitian people. Our guest is Pierre LaBossiere of the Haiti Action Committee.
