Plot Summary: A Valley Girl Cheerleader (Kristy Swanson) discovers she is the Chosen One, tasked with saving her SoCal town from a growing army of bloodsucking undead.
Note: This past July 31st marked the 20th Anniversary of this flawed but fun film's theatrical release, so William (of Crave Online and The B-Movies Podcast) and I decided to celebrate. We discuss the differences between Joss Whedon's script and the finished film, the television series and our thoughts on the film's reception, both back then and today. It's an analytical examination of the film, but also just a heartwarming love letter to the Buffy mythology, eventual franchise and humble beginnings.
