Tim de Vil fishes with a wide net. Truly a jack of all trades, aside from his personal musical endeavors, he also scores films and writes screenplays, even dabbling in the occasional water-coloring. There exists a level of self-aware poetics that we danced around during our talk, and I think having the ability to one, recognize a world where art can and can’t be impactful is important, but secondly to move freely and effortlessly between those worlds within a sentence while also philosophizing about their greater and real world impacts was insane to listen to in the moment, and even better now that I’ve edited and gotten to reflect on it all.
