Jess Hersh joins us again to talk about the grief of the week. We start with quick notes on Snoop Dogg’s announcement that his mother Beverly Tate passed away, and what his vulnerability means for fellow male grievers. Then, because we love all things Kardashian, we dive into the budding romance of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, try to solve the mystery of who really was at karaoke, and discuss Kris Jenner’s history of grief. We move to a more serious topic of bereavement policies in the workplace an discuss a recent article in The Atlantic which declares that corporate America is not ready for the avalanche of grief heading it’s way. Jess and I share our experiences with FMLA and our workplace at the time of our loss. Jess left her job; I’ve stayed with the same company ever since. Find out why the two drastic differences.
