For the premiere of their beautifully shot feature film RU, director Charles-Olivier Michaud, lead cast Chloé Djandji, Chantal Thuy, Jean Bui, and award-winning author Kim Thúy, joined me to talk about the ways RU shows how forming community is an integral part of learning to see a new country as your home.

Adapted for the screen by Michaud and co-writer Jacques Davidts, #Ru is based on Kim Thúy's 2009 novel of the same name which won the 2012 Canadian Governor General’s Award for French to English Translation.
