Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” We forget that we are a part of nature and act as if we were beyond the constraints of the natural universe. This is not the case because we have no patience. Most things in life require patience, and when we learn to lean more fully into patient acceptance, we create fewer burdens for ourselves and allow for more joy in our lives.
