Wing Commander Edition

We like to talk history as it relates to the games we play on this show. Usually the topics are confined to video game creators and companies, or franchises attached to the games. Today's episode covers something a little different.

But we find time to talk about Wordtris, a word-based puzzle game that's not terribly similar to Tetris. Then we go into a long discussion about Wing Commander, a well-known video game franchise with origins that were much more humble than we expected. Does this PC port bring enough of the game's action to the SNES, or does the console's limitations do this game a disservice. Do Link or Emmy even like space shooters enough for any of that to matter? You'll have to listen to find out.
