It’s our second birthday episode of the year, beloved listeners, and this week on Sneople at the Movies it’s Ezra’s turn to pick a topic: 70’s Movie Musicals!

After a good long What We Sneep, the Sneople start off with discussing what two of Ezra’s picks (Cabaret and Fiddler on the Roof) have in common and why they’re both such good examples of the musical genre. From there, they dip their toes into several other movies of the time period, focusing most heavily on Rocky Horror Picture Show, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and a new favorite of theirs, Phantom of the Paradise!

They also talk a lot about John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness - technically it’s not a musical but it DOES rule soooooo
