Previous Episode: Film Grain for Breakfast
Next Episode: Just Like Point Break

The gang is all together again, and they’re stoked to talk a significant year in film this week - 1999!

They cover the movies they love, they ones they forgot about, the movies that lasted, and the ones that were hits at the time and ended up being forgotten. They also talk about the actors that had their careers start in ‘99, several of which were surprising to them! This episode also features a fun section about uh (checks notes) when Matty and Helena, notable 90’s kids, got their glasses/contacts and how Matty realizing exactly why they sat at the front of the theater for Phantom Menace.

This episode was inspired by the book “Best. Movie. Year. Ever.: How 1999 Blew Up the Big Screen” by Brian Raftery - it’s come up a couple of times on Sneople before, and we finally decided to just commit to a full ep on the topic!
