The Women of Tomorrow with Jill Harris and Michelle Fanroy

Listen as Jill, Michelle, and Katana discuss:

The role mentors play in empowering the women of tomorrow.
The best advice to give when mentoring young women.
Why empowerment really needs to start with young women.

Jill Harris has dedicated her life to improving education. Working as an intervention specialist with a teaching certification, she has designed and implemented programs for children at risk of failing school. Collaborating with teachers, parents and administrators, Jill utilized her educational resources and evidence-based research to develop and recommend effective interventions.

Prior to working in education, Jill worked with many national television stations as a liaison to local advertisers. Her first love was media which ironically led to a career in education after dedicating time to local charities during her program management position at WKBD-TV. She witnessed the urgent need of support for youth in education and felt compelled to commit herself to understanding child development and how it affects learning and behavior. Jill’s experience in media management as well as her dedicated commitment in implementing programs to help at-risk students make her the perfect candidate in a leadership position as Executive Director of the Metro-Detroit Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program.
