Willow Creek is technically a Census-designated place with a population of 1,710. It’s nestled on the north-east end of Humbolt County in Northern California. Willow Creek is known as the Bigfoot Capital of the World and for good reason. Not only was the widely controversial Patterson-Gimlin film shot there but also tracks found in the early 1950’s lead to the term Bigfoot being coined.

The Pacific Northwest isn’t the only place that may harbor an elusive creature. In the back wood of the Sulpher River basin of Arkansas lurks something similar but different, a leaner wiry version of bigfoot with fiery red eyes. They call it the Beast of Boggy Creek or the Fouke Monster.
