On this episode of Small Business Japan I talk with Ruth Jarman about how her many experiences working in Japanese companies has lead her to creating a consulting agency in Japan that aims to problem solve with an international perspective.Raised in Hawaii, Ruth graduated with a degree in International Relations from Tufts University, Boston in 1988. She joined Recruit Company Limited and was honored to be mentored by Recruit founder Hiromasa Ezoe until 2012. She is one of the few non-Japanese holders of the Japanese Real Estate License (Takken), has published six books on Japan (In Japanese), She has been featured on many NHK English language programs where she now advises, and is a strong supporter of female entrepreneurs and executives in Japan. Founded in 2012, Jarman International focuses on assisting Japanese companies and regions successfully welcome international visitors.
