"We Can Manage Our Way Through This" with The Sprocket Podcast | Portland's own Podcast about Bikes and Everything Else!

The Sprocket Podcast (@SprocketPodcast) consists of Brock (@brockmon) and Aaron (@RdHareAmngHrses, Aaron is a bike in this… he was not very bike-like when we met, but maybe he was in disguise) . The Sprocket Podcast is a podcast about bikes, transit, life, and all sorts of good stuff in the wonderful world of Portland, OR. We had a lot of fun recording in their recording RV… I have to say I am a little jealous. We talk about all sorts of things: podcasting, Portland, management… the important things! Then, we record a really clever sketch. It was a ton of fun!
Just another nice reminder that the new season of the podcast starts September 3rd! It’s going to be a hum-dinger of an episode! I don’t know if you’ve ever dinged a hum, but I have to tell you, it’s much better than if you don’t! Also… reviews! Subscribe and review!
In this week’s sketch: They are mentors, guiding us through our careers and making us better workers, and people, in the long run. Whether they are directly telling \ what to do, or just simply there to cover our asses when we screw up, managers can be fantastic. Unless there is a problem. Then they are a complete waste of time and money.
This podcast exists because of other podcasts, and sometimes we just want to talk about different podcasts. You shouldn’t listen to just one, but if it is going to be just one this one is the right choice. If you are looking for something a little different though, this week I would suggest “Forgotten TV”. “Forgotten TV” is a podcast about TV shows from the 70s and 80s that really does a good job of scratching that nostalgia itch without actually having to go back and suffer through watching a lot of the shows. One thing I will say about nostalgia, it’s usually best left in your head. However, “Forgotten TV” is fantastic because the host, Chris Cooling, does all of the work for you and all you have to do is listen and fondly remember where you were when you found out who shot JR.
