You Were Busy Chasing

It's the season finale y'all! I picked a song from 2019 cuz it's a bop and it still hits - "Hide Out" by Mahalia, from her album Love and Compromise. It samples bits from an Eartha Kitt interview throughout the song, that go along with the theme of self love and the unwillingness to compromise when you know your worth. Mahalia addresses a man that cheated on her and was chasing women while feeding her false promises of a future together. I get into a lot of topics including, going through phones, serial cheaters, rumors, liking other girls pics on instagram, being thirsty, the ick, and a lot more. 

Then I get into the "Paradox of Choice", the "Madonna-Whore Complex", social media, and how they all intertwine and f*** up so many relationships. Lastly I talk about D.A.R.V.O. and how to arm yourself against it, because if you fall victim to it, it can have dangerous effects. It's a form of gaslighting and can get outta hand real quick. Also, heads up, about 46 minutes in till about 50 minutes in, I talk about the show "You" season 3, & the show "Maid".
