This week: Kathleen joins us to talk about Black Panther and the love and care that went into creating the world, from the costumes to the lighting to the production design. But we also discuss who this world is for – and how those of us who are not of the world can still participate by appreciating without appropriating. While Black Panther is smashing the box office and previously held assumptions in Hollywood, there is still so much more to dismantle, including poor management throughout the entertainment industry. We talk about how a lack of proper management has held Hollywood back and the management changes, as proposed by showrunner Glen Mazzara, might improve the business. Finally… working through illness.
