In an Australian podcast first - Shooting The Breeze regular Coach Liz Mills joins us with her twin sister Vik Mills as they launch their Global Women In Basketball Coaching Network this week.

Liz is renowned for making hoops history as the first woman Head Coach of a men's national team at an African continental championship and co-founder Vik Mills is an accomplished leader in the global consulting services industry.

We explore the universal challenges for women in basketball coaching and from different walks of life, and get a glimpse into the amazing female Coaches that form the Leadership group including previous pod guest Sydney Kings assistant Coach Fleur McIntyre.

Other mentors include: Spain's Coach Anna Montanana, Senegal's Coach Khady Diop, Cape Verde's Coach Mery Andrade, USA/Canada's Coach Brittni Donaldson, France's Coach Lauriane Dolt and Belgium's Gaelle Bouzin.

It’s a remarkable close up view of two trailblazers with a shared history of coaching basketball in their youth - on their vision for positive change and a lasting legacy, and the enormous opportunity to connect women all over the world with different perspectives in order to support, mentor and network for better opportunities.

In Liz’s own words “it’s our role to change that narrative. We rise by lifting others, and that's what we should be doing with this network.”

Enjoy!
