Episode 117: New Year, Same Asshole!

Shooters… We are back after our holiday break!! Spoiler warning this episode starts with some spoilers on the Iron Claw movie.

This week we start the show off by giving our 2024 resolutions! Then we transition into discussing the Iron Claw! Have you seen it? Do you know who the Von Erichs are? How bad did you cry? The general consensus is, this film deserves and will probably win some awards! Also, which wrestling biopic will be next?

Next, hold on to your horses! We discuss a topic that got heated in our private chat and it got heated on the show! With The Rock seemingly challenging Roman, where does that leave Cody? Does Punk miss his WRESTLEMANIA main event now? How would you book everything moving forward? Would Cody winning and cashing in the MITB hurt his character? This segment got heated, went long and took a lot of twists and turns! It is truly the best thing discussed on the show!

We do a few rapid fire questions to wrap the show. We talk about matches of the year. We talk about how things are going in AEW and then we fall into the off shoot!

This was a crazy episode and during the off shoot we remembered to make our new years predictions! Joey K said that a scandal will break about AEW and it will hurt their ability to get a TV contract and they will be relegated to a streaming service! Silver Wolf said that CM Punk will stay employed with WWE for the full calendar year. DDJ thinks that Swerve Strickland will win the AEW World title in 2024! Da Hot One, continuing his streak from last year, picks Ric Flair in his wrestling dead pool.

We wrap up with our off shoot, our final thoughts segment where Joey K gives us his full anti Cowboys new year resolutions. The Silver Wolf reflects on 2023 and making 2024 a better and more positive year for wrestling and himself. DDJ takes us down the ups and downs of the new year, as he discusses the holidays and his dads heavenly birthday. Da Hot One doubles down on getting more show time, being more intentional this year and trying to be better in anyway he can.
