Shellshocked Radio Recommendations - Morcheeba - Tape Loop - The beginning of Trip Hop w/ downtempo #232

A friend of mine introduced me to  @Morcheeba  and their music in the 1990's and I was intrigued right away. 

This music mix I had never heard before. 

Yes there has been the massive success of  @Portishead SOS  but this was "just" trip hop ... 

Morcheeba did add some more "melancholy" and saccharine bitter-sweetness into the mix, though it downtempo and folksy influences. 

Clearly some kind of music I never heard before. 

Dreamy and moving at the same time. 

Not my usual oeuvre for sure, but I still can recommend this great slow, melancholic masterpiece.
