Vari was the first ever girl I saw playing cricket and she went all the way to the top representing Scotland from 2001-2007. With best figures of 4/38 against Pakistan. Also an East Kilbride Cricket Club legend taking plenty of wickets during her time with the club. Vari then went on to serve her country in the British Army and the Royal Navy, something anyone should be very proud of.
