We are going back to 2017 when i interviewed  Dr. Nicola Rollock in the guest chair. Dr Rollock is an academic, consultant and public speaker specialising in racial justice in education and the workplace. She is widely known for her research which examines, for the first time in the UK, the career experiences of Black female Professors. Nicola is published in a number of international books and journals and is the lead author of The Colour of Class: the educational strategies of the Black middle classes.

In this episode she shares:

Her frustration of the lack of people of color in leadership positions and the lack of progress on race equality
The lessons from her father that influenced her
The importance of looking after her well-being and her Netflix self-care remedy
How it feels to be a woman of colour in UK academia
Where she finds her spiritual nourishment
The impact of being ‘the woman who talks about race’
What's in her “And still I rise’ folder
And the importance of celebrating success and letting people know about your accomplishments
