When I was a kid growing up, my dad used to tell me, “Decide what you want and write it down”, and so I created a Goal Folder!

My Goal Folder became a storage space for all of my biggest dreams as a teenager. I would write down the things that I really wanted at that time, without limiting myself by what was “realistic” or “sensible”, and then use cuttings and illustrations to create a physical scrapbook of what I wanted my life to look (and smell) like.

I just see this as a bit of fun, but it’s a bit of fun that’s actually very powerful. My goals have changed a bit since creating this first goal folder, but the point is that it’s all about intention-setting. You need to get really aligned with your personal and business goals; articulate them; get them out of your head and into the physical world and then use them as your North Star, so that you have something tangible to work towards.

This is something that I would highly recommend doing to anyone with big dreams. This is how I would go about it:

 - Have a dreaming day and connect with what you want to make happen in your life.

 - Get proactive.  Write down the things that you want.

 - Create an energy of success around your goal folder.

 - Keep coming back to your goal folder to remind yourself of the things you want to achieve.
