With so many brands experiencing understandable drops in wholesale orders at present as well as (again understandable) disruption when dealing with delivery companies in recent weeks, I wanted to find out what impact the coronavirus has had on the duo behind one of my favourite snack brands, who I know from previous conversations with the pair, rely heavily on both.

On Monday afternoon therefore, I had a Zoom call with the award-winning sisters that are Gracie and Sophie Tyrrell, Co-Founders of the 100% natural, gluten-free and plant-based snack range that is Squirrel Sisters... aka. some of the tastiest snacks on the market at the moment in my opinion made all the more special by the fact that the brand has been self-funded from day one.

From how they've adapted and are continuing to find new ways to encourage sales elsewhere; their thoughts on comparison culture with so many brands offering worthwhile initiatives left, right and centre at present; and why clear communication has been key when dealing with the ongoing hurdles in their supply chain; the fact that these two have rolled their sleeves up and tackled their various obstacles head on over the past fortnight is a testament to their fitness as Founders in my opinion. Away from strictly business though, I'm so used to popping on Instagram and seeing the two sisters working together each day (with Sophie's baby daughter Lola always close by too of course) so given that the current lockdown has thrown many a spanner into the works when it comes to our day-to-day routines, I also wanted to find out how they're adapting to this temporary way of life apart and their advice for all of us should we find ourselves struggling to create a new routine too...
