Winner of the 1959 Newbery Medal, The Witch of Blackbird Pond is still widely read and taught in schools today. This book was also a childhood favorite of actress Laura Rocklyn, in a childhood that was filled with books and literary magic. We chat about some of that magic, including the glories of a window seat for reading, searching cupboards for Narnia, and how certain books can immediately make you feel safe and right at home. Plus, some very fun American Girl chat.
