The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams is a beloved children's classic, and a book that is heartbreaking in its loveliness and sweet sentimentality. The book was a childhood favorite of my guest, Jana Light, and is still one of her most beloved books to this day. We chat about reading for pizza (remember Book It!?), why the horse in The Velveteen Rabbit is the Oprah of the toy world, and the feeling of seeing something so lovely that it makes your heart hurt a little.
