Now she is touring the country sharing what she has learned in her healing journey with other women through The Brunch Series (along with her boyfriend and their 200-pound English mastiff, Kingsley).

QUOTES

“Once I started accepting and loving myself, I was able to make lifestyle choices, like how I ate, how I worked out, slept, and took care of myself; that really supported my healing in all aspects.”

“Whole 30 cleared my brain in a way that I started being able to do the inner work and paying attention to how I felt.”

“We get so used to our normal, that we forget we should feel great.”

“My self-care checklist is basically a checklist that I created that, for me, was my prescription for a great life. I used to get really overwhelmed by the idea of creating a good life, but I could get down with the idea of creating a great day.”

“The self-care checklist is a free pill, essentially, that you can do every morning. It has helped me more than any prescription med ever has.”

“Whatever you use to numb out—it doesn’t matter what you are using—it is all about what are we doing with the feelings that come up that we don’t want to feel?

“Feelings are visitors, let them come and go.”

“When we don’t stay in our body and we don’t feel our feelings, we make decisions based on what we think we should do instead of on how we feel.”

“Change and discomfort… I know that is what breeds growth.”

“Going inward and doing the self-work, getting sober, clear, and listening in has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself.”

“I learned at a young age how to think of something that doesn’t exist and create it, versus seeing what exists and trying to fit in that box.”
