Guest speaker Keith Cooper, of Freedom Church Chester, on Isaiah 12:1-6.
Keith looks into how, as worshippers of God, we also need to be on mission for God, and how we need to stop shrinking God and His power – otherwise our lives can become joyless, because joy is a fruit of the spirit. Christian joy is not external – it is internal.
If we look to other things for our joy – reputation, possessions, money – they will let us down, whereas God and the Holy Spirit never will.
Keith reminds us that Paul was in chains for Christ, and yet was able to say ‘I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.’
