Reflection Questions:
Imagine the pain and disappointment Samson’s parents felt when their son was adamant about marrying a Philistine lady. When was a time that someone else’s preference caused you deep pain and disappointment?
When was a time you were demanding about an unhealthy preference? How does – you pedestaling your preferences – cause other people deep pain and disappointment?
When was a time someone actually loved you enough to PUSHBACK against your unhealthy preferences and demands?
When was a time you rigorously prayed through a Psalm, and eventually you arrived at the realization that God was intimately, subversively, and sovereignly orchestrating His Agenda amidst chaos, pain, and/or disappointing situations?
