1. How have you experienced the Bible as a radically intrusive and personal letter from God? How has God disrupted your comfort and offended you? (e.g. 2 Corinthians 7:8-9; 10:9; Mark 2:17; Jeremiah 17:9)

2. Have you authentically accepted the most scandalous truth about yourself? …Namely that God really does love you? Do you allow the love of Christ to captivate and control you? (2 Corinthians 5:14; 1 Corinthians 13:1-3).

3. How have you specifically experienced the transforming impact of the cross? What previous “pet preoccupations” have been eclipsed by being preoccupied with the cross of Jesus Christ?

4. What, specifically, would it look like for you be controlled by the love of Christ instead of materialism, social-media, awareness campaigning, fighting for constitutional rights and/or political agendas?
