Justice for Sarah Everard

Tonight I’m talking about a very much ongoing case, something that literally just happened a couple week ago so I don’t have all of the details as of yet, but I wanted to get something out now because the kidnapping and murder of 33-year-old Sarah Everard is sparking outrage and a movement that needs to happen now. Sarah disappeared earlier this month after walking home from a friend’s house. The person responsible for her death? Someone sworn to protect the public, a police officer. Her vigil was held recently, and things got really intense. Sarah’s story is a part of a bigger conversation - why are women not safe to walk alone? How can we keep women safe? We’re going to talk about all of it tonight, because shit needs to change.
