Dana Laskowski was a 36-year-old single mother of 9-year-old triplets. Despite having a massive amount of responsibility on her plate, she was the kind of person who always had her door open if you needed a bite to eat, a place to crash or just someone to talk to. This is why it was shocking to everyone who knew her, when she was discovered on her couch, twisted and contorted in a strange position, strangled to death.

When you open your heart to everyone, you risk allowing some bad seeds in, which, unfortunately, is exactly what would happen to Dana. Investigators looked at several of these bad seeds, to see if they were responsible for Dana’s horrific death - but it wasn’t until they found a journal, with an entry that read “Kill someone +get away with it”, that the case would be cracked wide open. This is the murder of Dana Laskowski, a nanny who loved life but sadly let a wolf in sheep's clothing get a little too close to her.
