Welcome to Selling Secrets.

The show about Action Movies, Spy Films and the marketing of Hollywood.

Episode six is the first of our new format of episodes where I interview experts in their field and discuss how that relates to action movies, spy films and Hollywood.
In this episode, I interview David Lowbridge-Ellis, the creator of Licence to Queer, a website and podcast about Queer representation in the James Bond 007 franchise.

I wanted to discuss the importance of queer representation in action films for an episode of the podcast. However, I understand the privileged lens that I look at life through as a straight, white, cisgender man; so I wanted to bring on a guest who could speak to the topic in a way that I can't. I am so grateful to David for coming on and sharing about why queer representation is so important in films.
During the interview, we discuss James Bond, the early Hollywood Hays Code, representation in modern Hollywood and much more.
