I am SO excited to feature another incredible guest on the Self Remembrance Podcast. Everyone please welcome Camila Teresa Lacques-Zapién.
Camila Teresa Lacques-Zapién (she/her/ella) is a Chicana of mixed heritage born and raised in Los Angeles, on the ancestral lands of the Chumash and Tongva people. Camila is a lover of storytelling, a writer, a poet, a creative and writing coach, spiritual practitioner, tarot reader, freedom fighter, traveler, survivor of poverty and chronic illness, and a resource for her communities.
She has been active in social justice, labor organizing, schools and non profit educational spaces for over a decade and officially started her own business, ALA CAMILA, two years ago. ALA CAMILA exists to serve BIPOC and first generation visionaries professionally, creatively, and energetically. She offers expert personal statement writing coaching to undergraduate and graduate school applicants, creative self expression support for entrepreneurs, and tender tarot sessions for folks seeking clarity and groundedness in their lives. In addition, she offers group programs for folks needing space to commit to their creative projects, and will soon be offering 1-1 programs for sacred exploration and ancestral discovery.
Camila is committed to leading with courage, compassion and humor. She is a huge UCLA, Sparks, Lakers, and Dodgers fan, among many other teams, and spends most of her free time in nature and watching comedies!
