Part II- Checking our direction."

Greetings, Summit Leaders.

Where am I going? Is this the right place?

Am I in step with the timing? What is my motivation?

Empowering is the conviction that you are in the right place, at the right time, heading in the true north direction and with the right motive in your heart.

Last week, in Part I, we talked about having conviction during my most significant sales opportunity. The competition was intense, with three highly recognized firms and ours.

The pursuit went on for nearly a year.
There were times the voice us doubt tempted us to give up, but our leadership decided to continue.

Here are the lessons learned.

Even with the feedback that it was "impossible" to win, I knew I was in the right place, right time with the right motive.
Our team needed leadership at that moment.

Then I spoke.

I can't remember the words, but I can remember what I felt in my heart—conviction, courage, and confidence.

How was this possible? During the weeks before, I intentionally took time alone to assess our purpose for being there.

I validated in my mind that I was in step, and our timing was right in line with where we needed to be.

Finally, after months of traveling to the client's headquarters and meetings with hundreds of their employees, I knew that our motive was right in believing we can deliver excellence in helping the client.

That night I prayed for wisdom on what to say the next day. Morning came, and our team gathered in a room filled with stakeholders from various departments and began to communicate.

I shared what we believed as a team and the opportunity for us to partner with the client.

Our team unanimously won the voting and selection as the partner by our new client.

I want to share with you the lessons I learned.

1. Assess the direction of your life and career regularly.

2. Affirm that you are in the right place in light of your life and career vision.

3. Seek wise counsel as you go.
Stand beside the roads and watch. Ask for the ancient paths, where the right way is. Walk in it and find rest for yourself.

4. Be strong and courageous, neither terrified nor dismayed. Don't be turned off your pathway by fear when you know this is the way; walk in it.

"Nothing is more difficult, and therefore more precious than to be able to decide."

"Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action comes, stop thinking and go in."
 ― Napoleon Bonaparte

Knowing that you are here for such a time as this positions you on the right path.

Let's keep our focus and faith fixed on the pathway!

Victory is on the way!

Victory!
